Council Rock appoints Quortus, a UK mobile communications software specialist company to help deliver new software wireless-enabled Smart Grid solutions

Monday 16th December 2019Quortus Ltd, a UK mobile communications software specialist headquartered in Camberley, Surrey has been chosen by USA telecommunications company, Council Rock, as its mobile core technology partner to help deliver its wireless-enabled Smart Grid TELiG Platform across the United States.

Council Rock’s TELiG Platform is disrupting the Smart Grid market in America by bringing new and wireless-enabled capabilities and services into one single integrated future-proof network for Power and Utility companies to provide smarter metering, intelligent distribution, lower latency and IoT application support. Council Rock’s edge computing platform is powerful and efficient with resources to run third party apps as well as other important utility-specific applications such as legacy protocol conversion and Quortus’ distributed EPC.

The Quortus EPC architecture provides complete deployment flexibility including on-premise, virtualised, and distributed core running on the TELiG platform for a total end-to-end private 4G LTE solution, and further strengthens Quortus’ two-year partnership with Council Rock to deliver a range of wireless-enabled solutions for the power and utilities markets across the USA.

“The ability to offer world class EPC technology to our clients made partnering with Quortus an easy decision for us,” said Todd Owen, VP of Sales at Council Rock.

Continues Mark, “We see our latest partnership with Council Rock as a major achievement and is yet another example of the flexibility of the Quortus core, which has recently exceeded 3,000 deployments to all continents of the globe.”
